Well, it’s been quite the giveaway kick lately and I’m excited to be able to announce one more for you all! RunningMedalHangers.com (http://www.runningmedalhangers.com/) has generously donated two running medal hangers to Once A Runner, Always A Runner for me to give away to you! These are great products and a great way to show off your racing accomplishments and memories! This will actually be two contests, one for men and one for women as I have gender specific hangers to give away. They are pictured below:
The focus for this contest is on inspiring the next generation of runners to take up the sport we all love so dear. As you may know from previous posts, I’m involved with Girls On the Run Boston, a tremendous program for girls in 3rd-5th grade. Girls in the program meet twice a week at practices where, in addition to running, they go through lessons on things they encounter in their everyday lives, such as peer pressure, gossip, etc. My wife is now entering her 2nd year as a coach for the Beacon Hill team, and together we serve on the program’s Advisory Council. I’m particularly involved with our SoleMates program, through which runners help GOTR Boston by using their races to raise funds for our program.
So, here’s how to enter this contest (one entry for each completed item):
- Like Running Medal Hangers by Glastender on Facebook (required)
- Like Girls On The Run Boston SoleMates on Facebook (also required)
- Share how you already, or hope to in the future, inspire younger runners to lace up.
- Leave a comment stating you’ve volunteered with any Girls On The Run chapter or run a race as a SoleMate.
