Hello readers! I’ve decided to add a new feature to the blog, at least through the Boston Marathon. I’m calling it: “Charity Runner Of The Week,” intended to highlight the charity work of a runner and, hopefully, help him or her raise a few more dollars towards a goal. The plan is to then name a Charity Runner Of The Month and I am hoping to be able to get a sponsor for this endeavor such that I might able to reward this runner for his or her good deeds. So, without further ado, I’m happy, proud and pleased to announce the inaugural Once A Runner, Always A Runner Charity Runner Of The Week: Alett Mekler!
Alett is a Boston runner who will be running her second Boston Marathon in 2013 while raising money for the Animal Rescue League of Boston. Alett also happens to be a veterinarian and a lover of all things furry. It is always great to see someone raising money not just to get a bib, but to support a cause they truly believe in, and that is Alett Mekler through and through. Moreover, she is very involved in the local running community, always ready to lend a word of advice, or just participate in silly things through the Hash House Harriers. Hi, Neat post. There is an issue with your website
in internet explorer, might test this? IE nonetheless is
the marketplace leader and a big section of other people will
pass over your magnificent writing because of this problem.
